Photography exhibition by Shao Wenhuan @ M97 Gallery
‘And all the Sounds are Still’ is the new exhibition opening at M97 this Sunday afternoon. Shao Wenhuan is a Hangzhou-based mixed media artist who has a very unique style of combining painting and photography techniques. M97 is by far Shanghai’s best international photography gallery and always worth a look.

Zhang Enli @ ShangArt
There’s a hint of Duchamp in Zhang’s work, which pursues the origin of mundane objects. His subject matter results in simple yet intellectually substantial images, which will give you something to ponder about. ShangArt isn’t far from M97 Gallery in the M50 cluster so why not see them both?

Wonderment @ Art+ Gallery
Mu Lei is a Beijing artist who paints subjects in entranced moments, looking in the mirror for example. The paintings exhibited are all figurative and coloured in muted tones of black, white, grey, and red.
