Police in Guangxi apprehended a man who killed his girlfriend then posted images of her corpse onto WeChat last Sunday.
The suspect, surnamed Qin, uploaded the morbid pictures to his WeChat moments on Sunday morning and they quickly began circulating online. Police were able to track him down hours after the crime occurred, CCTV News reports.
The images show him lying in bed next to the deceased woman, surnamed Lin, with the caption: “Please forgive my selfish love”.
Police say the two were a couple, and Qin killed the woman after they got into an argument.
This wouldn’t be the first time a person has taken to social media to flaunt his horrific crimes. Last year, a 17-year-old teen in Hunan stabbed a woman in the face, robbed her then returned to an internet cafe to post on QQ that the attempted murder ‘went really well‘. In Guangdong, a man abused his son and posted photos on WeChat as a way to taunt the child’s mother.
