A logistics company in Shandong is testing a new super-fast delivery service that uses drones. According to China News, tests of the express service proved that goods can be delivered just one hour after consumers place their order. With tests going well, the company plans to initiate a VIP delivery service.
Amazon previously announced a future “Prime Air” delivery service and it seems that Chinese logistics companies are hot on their heels. After all, China is said to be the drone capital of the world and Chinese economists predict the demand for civilian drone pilots will reach 30,000 by the year 2018. You need a license to pilot a drone in China and there are even drone-flying schools that teach you how.
If all else fails the company can just fall back on specializing in delivering romantic gifts to the girlfriends of tuhaos.
