Christmas came early this year for some residents of Weifang city in Shandong province as in a patriotic effort to increase regular citizen’s understanding of national defense, the neighborhood property management department installed some sweet scale models of a tank, a fighter jet and missiles.
The tank looks kind of like the old Type 99, which was showcased in the 1999 National Day Parade. The fighter jet, on the other hand, looks as if it’s based on something much newer although the nose and cockpit are the wrong shape. Possibly, it is modeled after the Shanyang J-15, better known as the flying shark, which was featured in this year’s V-Day parade in Beijing.
Earlier this month, Tencent did its work to educate the people in the realities of war with a Call of Dutyesque video showing Chinese forces triumphantly taking an unidentified island from an unnamed enemy sometime in the nearish future.
And a tourist site in Henan helped tourists understand what it is like to slap a war criminal in his papery face.
