A man in Sichuan who equipped his rickshaw with free Wifi, an iPad and sound system has made headlines this past week for having quite possibly the coolest ride in Chengdu.
According to Tencent, the driver, surnamed Tan, usually gets business from students outside Chengdu’s Wenjiang University. The cheapest trip costing a mere three yuan.
Inside Tan’s rickshaw a front-mounted iPad serves as a mobile TV, while a surround sound system offers the best aural experience on three wheels.
The passengers aboard are free to surf on the internet with Tan’s iPad during the sure to be bumpy journey, as we note that Tan neglected to upgrade his suspension.
Tan, a self-confessed entertainment lover, searched online while looking for things to improve the passenger experience and happened to find a wireless internet device. He invested several hundred yuan in installing the device on his vehicle.
Is this the coolest ride in all of China? For consideration, we submit to you Shanghai’s once infamous “Facebook Taxi” and the “Selfie Taxi” from Shenyang.
