Making its triumphant return to China: “Space out competitions!” Hold on to your sprouts folks!
The last time we reported on this phenomenon, it was last year for the first ever “stare blankly” contest held in Chengdu.
In case you are unfamiliar with the rules, contestants must sit down and not move or smile. No emotion, just mindless staring into space. Of course, many youth have been preparing for this kind of thing for their whole lives, so it tends to last quite a white.
For this competition held at a Nanjing sports park, organizers seemed to have jazzed up the proceedings with funny faces and by encouraging participants to wear sprouts on their head.
Once again, everybody online has agreed that this was pretty big waste of time, at least last time the winner got an iPhone 6.
