Ladyfest: The Dating Monologues @ Daliah
Ladyfest says, ‘Think “Vagina monologues”, but the raw stories of people dating in Shanghai will be revealed and shared.’ The organisers have been collecting stories, submitted anonymously through an online survey, to entertain us with a night of honest, filthy comedy. The stories will be spoken or acted out by the People’s Republic of Comedy improv group, plus they offer games, raffles and more.

Diwali Bollywood Night @ Hit Wicket
Whilst today it’s National Singles’ Day in the PRC, it’s also the ancient Hindu festival ‘Diwali’. Also known as “the festival of lights”, the celebrations from India carry a spiritual message of good over evil. SD Events promise a Bollywood DJ, Indian dancers and an all-you-can-eat and drink deal.

Nanta Cookin Comedy @ ET Space (11th – 29th)
They call it “non-verbal comedy”, but it’s more like a percussive comedy show. The Nanta cookin’ comedy from Seoul incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm, drumming on pots and pans, with acrobatics, pantomime-style audience participation and promoters say they perform magic. Of course, this being an international show in Shanghai ticket prices are hiked up nearly 5 times from the original value of around 60 RMB in Seoul .
