Asian American NBA star Jeremy Lin appears to be looking to broaden his horizons, sharing his audition tape online to be cast in the lead role of Singaporean popstar JJ Lin’s next music video.
Jeremy Lin shared the video of himself grooving along to JJ Lin’s hit “Cao Cao” on his Facebook page where it has received more than 50,000 likes in 10 hours and hundreds of comments from fans supportive of the basketball star’s career change.
“If you become a music video actor, then I will definitely help get your YouTube click count up,” commented 邱伊.
In the past, the multi-talented Jeremy Lin has shown off his Mandarin rap skills for Mother’s Day. His parents immigrated from Taiwan to the U.S. and his grandparents were from the mainland, where Lin remains a bonafide star, even fours seasons after Linsanity. He currently plays for the (above .500!) Charlotte Hornets.
Watch his audition tape and judge for yourself:
The main problem is that JJ Lin may have already found the star of his next music video, while out walking around Taipei’s Hsin Yi shopping district:
Singaporean popstar JJ Lin goes out on a stroll in Taipei's Hsin Yi shopping district, hears a busker singing his song, and decides to join him.
