Frameless Heads @ MoCA
Hyung Koo Kang’s solo exhibition Frameless Heads previews at MoCA on Nanjing Road, featuring his newest works that photograph iconic gazes like old blue-eyes Clint Eastwood. The painter’s renowned hyperrealist portraiture exhibits on 3 floors in the Museum of Contemporary Art from Wednesday December 3rd until the January 16th.

Let’s meet up and play squash @ Shanghai Indoor Stadium Tennis Centre
Maggie Lu organises a squash meet up every Wednesday at the courts in Shanghai Indoor Stadium, welcoming players of all levels. Karakal lends you a racket so you can get a taster for the sport with qualified instructors like Maggie, there’s also a court for intermediate to advanced players, if you’re interested then join the meet up.

German Christmas Market @ Paulaner Brauhaus
Christkindlmarkt, the German Christmas market comes to Paulaner Brauhaus, bringing with it the scent of hot, spiced Glühwein, sizzling sausages and festive cheer. This year there are 70 mini-alpine lodges selling freshly-cut, imported Danish Christmas trees, decorations, seasonal treats and there is rumoured to be a special guest from the North-pole.

The Snow Queen @ Anken Green Rooftop Theatre
Theatre Anon presents Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘The Snow Queen’, a fairytale in three stories about Gerda’s quest north to free her friend Kay from the evil Snow Queen. There are evening performances from Thursday to Saturday and matinee shows at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, tickets can be purchased at Cottons, Hunan House, Cambio Coffee or online at Weidian.
