Wuxi dance company performs the Kirgiz epic ‘Manas’ with music from the Xinjiang Akqi county ensemble at Shanghai Oriental Art Centre. Ballet dancers tell the story of ‘Manas’, a hero who struggles against evil and becomes a symbol of the Kirgiz people (a harmonious society narrative with an exotic ethnic minority theme).
