The Danny Malando Orchestra is coming to Shanghai. A Dutch orchestra founded over 75 years ago, it has been nominated as the best light classical music orchestra in the world. This performance combines music with passionate tango and romantic dancing.

Austrian Strauss Legacy Philharmonic Orchestra @ Shanghai Grand Theatre
The Austrian Strauss Legacy Philharmonic Orchestra has arrived in Shanghai and are here to perform at Shanghai Grand Theatre. This group has a long history behind them, as they were founded in 1843 by the Austrian composer, Strauss. They’ve toured around the world.

The Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra @ Shanghai Poly Theatre
The Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra is coming to the Shanghai Poly Theatre with conductor Alexander Anissimov. Enjoy some classical music with pieces composed by Strauss, Chopin, and Suppe.

Swan Lake @ Shanghai Poly Theatre
Another rendition of the famous Swan Lake is being performed at Shanghai Poly Theatre by the Russian Royal Ballet. The Russian ballet is renowned for their masterful choreography, dancing, and composition. They’re known for having many famous ballerinas in their troupe.

Italian Little Choir of Antoniano New Year Concert @ Shanghai Children Art Theatre
Founded in 1963, the Italian Little Choir of Antoniano is one of the most famous children’s choirs in the world. They are also a Good Will Ambassador for ambassador for UNICEF and have been touring around the world.

German Radio Orchestra New Year’s Concert @ Shanghai Himalayas Centre
The German Radio Orchestra is coming to Shanghai to bring a magical concert. An internationally acclaimed orchestra, they will be performing oratorios, cantatas, and contemporary works. The group has often performed for the German television and radio and even for UNICEF in 2012.

Soldout @ Yuyintang
Soldout is an electro music band with David and Charlotte. Soldout has The Knife, Depeche Mode, and Cabaret Voltaire on the dance floor. They have a great sense of “confidence, easiness and simplicity.”

Salina: The Last Vertebra @ Huangpu Theatre
Salina: The Last Vertebra, showing at Huangpu Theatre, transports the audience back to ancient Africa to tell a timeless story about hate and forgiveness. This play has roots in African- Brazilian traditions, but has also taken elements from Greek tragedy and African epics. This performance is the culmination of “several African cultures and different points of view and exchanges that took place during the project execution.”

Vivienne Westwood’s exhibit @ chi K11 Art Space
K11 invites British fashion designer brand Vivienne Westwood to host a cross-over exhibition between Chinese contemporary art and eco-friendly fashion. Ongoing until the February 28th, the exhibit “Get a Life” is a topic inspired by Vivienne Westwood’s strong attitude towards climate revolution. A handful of Chinese contemporary artists will present their works in mediums such as photos, videos and fashion design, showcasing their understanding of the relationships among nature, environment and humanity. Early bird tickets start from ¥50 and tickets are ¥100 at the door.

VINAI is an EDM production and Italian DJ duo, formed in 2011 consisting of brothers Alessandro Vinai and Andrea Vinai. In 2013, they signed with Time Records before releasing the single “Hands Up.” Vinai’s collaborative single with Swedish DJs Error404 titled “Bullet” earned them even more recognition. In 2014, they joined Spinnin’ Records and released a single Canadian DJs DVBBS titled “Raveology”. They have even performed at Ultra Music Festival and Mysterland.
