Beijing’s air had quite the standout year in 2015 and you can now relive all those memorable fine particle moments through the magic of mosaic.
It’s all there, from crazy high AQI levels, to even crazier higher AQI levels. From the city’s first ever red alert for smog, to the city’s second ever red alert for smog barely more than a week later.
The mosaic comes courtesy of the China Meteorological Administration pieced together from photos taken by photographer Zang Hong.
Of course, it wasn’t all grey, there was some blue too, most notably in the lead up to Beijing’s Victory Day Parade marking the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
