Chinese people are the most
delusional optimistic* about the state of the world, according to UK polling website YouGov, with 41% of Chinese respondents fancying that the world is getting better (couldn’t get any worse).
Out of 18,235 respondents across 17 countries, YouGov found China to have the highest percentage of people answering in the affirmative to the question: “Do you think the world is getting better or worse?”
Hilariously, China’s score of positivity is four times the global average of 10%.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong continues to provide a bracing contrast, with just 8% believing in a “better” world, while 71% said nay and the rest were noncommittal.
