While we’re over here freezing our butts off during the coldest days of winter, here’s how people in Malaysia will be celebrating the Chinese New Year: with sizzling hot dudes serving up some delicious “bak kwa.”
Bak kwa, dried barbecued pork slices, is a Malaysian delicacy that is always a favorite around CNY. We assume it’s even more popular when cooked up by a couple of muscular guys without shirts. Hygiene be damned!
Facebook photos of these two Malaysian personal trainers — Wong Quan Jing, 27, and his friend Fong Tian Li, 25 — were posted on Facebook recently and it didn’t take long for their fame to spread all the way to the Middle Kingdom, reports Asia One.
“Our friend came up with this idea to promote his bak kwa after considering the bleak economy outlook this year. We hope to help him increase his sales,” said Wong.
So far, the innovative business strategy appears to working out:
We also received many orders from outside of Johor. We have no choice but to turn these down because we do not provide courier service. Some also questioned if our bak kwa was clean as we were posing half naked.
The thing is, we merely helped to promote it and did not cook the meat.
