In a cautionary tale about the dangers of keeping large sums of cash on one’s person, a man in Nanjing was robbed of his entire annual salary while enjoying a roadside strip show perhaps a bit too much.
After being invited onstage by one of the strippers, the construction worker was promptly looted of the 20,000 yuan in cash in his pocket, SCMP reports. As though that wasn’t enough humiliation, upon attempting to halt the thieving stripper the man was then almost run over by her car.
“She was in a car but had not driven away yet. I tried to stop the car. But, whoosh, it started off very fast, and I almost got killed in a hit and run,” recounted the unfortunate fellow.
He’s contacted the police, but they’ve been unable to recover the stolen money. Meanwhile, the thief remains at large. Be careful the next time you attend a sketchy roadside strip show in China.
Although stripping is technically illegal in China, random strip shows like the above are known to occur on the street and other sundry locales, apparently rendering deprived passersby stupid.
