On Monday afternoon, an unwelcome but familiar face returned to Shanghai Metro Line 12, this time followed by the distinct scent of hot soup. Let’s see if you recognize her:
Our story begins with a fellow commuter sniffing out the powerful scent of soup and following the trail to a woman slurping away. And like any good social media user these days, the passenger sent some pictures to a buddy pointing out that the lady looked very much like a certain viral chicken claw spitter from last month.
“She looks a bit familiar, like the chicken foot woman, this is on Line 12.”
“Is this happening right now?”
“Is that soup or fried dumplings?”
“Is the smell strong?”
“Yup. I followed the smell and found this lady. She looks a bit familiar.”
Of course, the pictures would find their way to Weibo, where netizens would confirm that our infamous chicken foot muncher has returned!
But rather than spitting out chicken feet and cursing out passengers to remind them that “it’s none of their fucking business”, she was tucking into some tasty soup, which is good deal better than innocent people stepping on sticky chicken bits on the floor anyhow.
Though it doesn’t look like that will save her from another human flesh search and being shamed online once again.
