Earlier this month, a young Chinese fashion model died in one of the most peculiar ways imaginable — during a routine breast enhancement surgery.
A 25-year-old mother named Ting Ting visited a Shenzhen beauty clinic on February 17. The fashion model had been diagnosed with “small breast syndrome” by doctors there. She was scheduled to receive an eyelid operation along with a boob job.
At 10:30am that morning, she first underwent the surgery on her eyelids under partial anesthesia. More anesthesia was then added for her breast enhancement surgery. However, during the surgery, her pulse dropped, followed by her blood pressure, Sohu reports.
Surgeons gave her adrenaline, but her heart stopped beating.
Despite her being dead for hours, Ting Ting’s family wasn’t called until 5pm later that afternoon, much to their anger.
The clinic has since taken full responsibility for the woman’s untimely death and plans to offer compensation. All of the staff involved were fully registered and certified.
While we have had reports of bad or botched boob jobs before, there’s certainly no way it could go worse than this.
