Evil-doers in China’s capital city had better be on their best behavior, because apparently the caped crusader is in town.
The “Batmobile” was spotted last week parked in front of a car dealership in Beijing. Local media reports that it is an imported car that has been modified to look like something a superhero might drive. The dealer says the list price is $1 million, despite the fact that it is illegal to drive in China.
One netizen joked that while the car may be illegally parked on the sidewalk, no tow truck will dare to do anything about it.
Another responded that considering how incredibly rich the dealer was, there wasn’t any change of it getting towed anyway.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that the Batmobile has been spotted in China. Last August it was seen dispensing some justice by blocking the entrance to a luxury car dealership, following a compensation dispute.
While that Batmobile was said to cost 10 million yuan ($1.5 million), back in 2014, a couple of enthusiasts from Shanghai built their own for just 70,000 yuan.
