Downtown shoppers in Wuhan were presumably a little surprised when one day a Boeing 737 suddenly popped up on a busy shopping street.
According to China.com, a local businessman bought the retired airplane for 35 million yuan ($5.3 million) and brought it over from Indonesia. He plans to turn it into a restaurant, because who doesn’t love airplane food?
He also wants to turn the cockpit into a flight simulator, which is just the thing you want to do after you eat.
No reports yet about when the plane will open, but we really hope that the idea takes off.
