As Madonna would say, we could all use a holiday, particularly this poor tour guide seen getting cursed out by a pair of tourists on his own bus.
The video uploaded by The Paper was shot in the tourist paradise of Sanya in Hainan on Wednesday morning. In between profanities, a male and female tourist try to make it clear to their tour guide that he will be losing his job if the offending situation is not remedied.
“Let me tell you, I have tons of money, go and find out what I do!” the man yells.
To back him up, the woman shouts that one of her sons is a journalist, while the other works at the PSB, and together they could put him out of work just like that.
In case those threats weren’t enough, the man also threatened to kill the tour guide.
Through all this, the tour guide shows remarkable restraint, but every time he urges the tourists to please calm down, it only leads to more swearing.
The identities of the two unruly tourists have yet to be revealed; however, they do speak Mandarin with an obvious Dongbei accent.
What could possibly cause such a scene? Well, The Paper reports that the man and woman were incensed that they could not take the same bus seats as they had the day before.
This isn’t the first time that tour guides have clashed with rowdy Chinese tourists. Last year, a Hong Kong tour guide gained attention by angrily throwing mainland tourists’ bags off his bus.
Of course, guides have also been known to give back as good as they get, like this Beijing tour guide who threatened travelers with a knife for not buying enough overpriced crap.
