Beggars walking through a subway carriage on Line 2 of the Shanghai Metro ended up in a heated argument with a passenger who questioned why two able bodied adults should be soliciting money instead of working.
As the train was about to pull into Nanjing West Station, a couple carrying a child walked through a subway carriage expecting a generous response from the commuting Shanghai public. Little did they know what was in store for them.
One woman in the carriage took out her phone and snapped a photo of the couple and their child, at which point one of the beggars began shouting and asking what right she had to take a photo of them.
The woman replied angrily that she had every right to take a photo in public and demanded to know why a perfectly healthy couple could not get work to support their child instead of begging on the subway.
Amid the commotion, bystanders pulled out their phones and recorded the exchange. Watch the footage here:

Ever suspect that beggars on the street are completely faking it? Back in 2010 one Chinese blogger decided to investigate and took pictures which proved that one beggar was not as physically impaired as he led others to believe.
