A long-legged teen from Guangdong has recently risen to fame in China following her standout appearance on a CCTV variety show.
Born in Zhuhai, 13-year-old Shi Shuyi stands 1.78-meters tall, mostly due to her 1.15-meter legs, Zhuhai Special Zone Daily reports.
Her legs are 3 centimeters longer than those of Nadja Auermann, a German model and actress, who in the 1990s held the Guinness record as the world’s longest-legged model. She has since been surpassed by Russian Svetlana Pankratova and her 132cm legs.
Shi studies at the YungWing School in Zhuhai. At the age of four, she started learning ballet and began taking piano lessons at five.
Apart from ballet and piano, her super long legs help her out on the catwalk and with modern dance. Over the years, she’s won a number of awards.
When asked about her dream, Shi responds without hesitation: “I want to study at film school and become an actress!”
Her mom says that her daughter’s long legs are due to genetics (her dad is 1.86-meters tall and mom is 1.72) and a strict schedule Shi follows every day.
“She sleeps for as much as 12 hours a day, drinks four to five cups of milk and a glass of juice each day, as well as doing lots of exercise,” her mom explains.
The length of Shi’s legs is actually the same as those of Dong Lei, an Anhui model who won Internet fame last year for having “legs for days.”
