My home is my castle — whoever came up with this phrase was probably thinking of something bigger than 118 square feet, but hey, you take what you can get right?
One may wonder how a 11.4 square meter room could rake in 5.3 million yuan, but the answer is a surprisingly normal one — it’s in Wenchang Hutong in Xicheng District, which is within the school catchment area of Beijing No 2 Experimental Primary School, one of the most prestigious schools in Beijing, NetEase reports.
But over 460,000 yuan per square meter? Apparently, it’s a small price to pay to work around rules that mandate Chinese children attend primary and middle schools close to home.
Hopefully their investment pays off.
