A group of passersby were photographed working together to help a man who had accidentally fallen down on a Jinan street on Monday evening.
After discovering the injured man, the good Samaritans, who were taking a stroll nearby, formed a human wall to block traffic and protect the man in need. After that, some helped to stop the bleeding, while others called for an ambulance, China Youth Daily reports.
One eyewitness surnamed Yan, who was walking his dog at that time, told reporters that that the incident took place as many residents were out for a walk after dinner and that everyone nearby rushed to form the wall together to give the man a hand.
The good Samaritans disappeared from the scene after the man was sent to the hospital, said Yan.
Last week, a dozen pedestrians rushed to the aid of a woman who had been hit by a van and dragged underneath. They were able to lift the van and rescue her in just 48 seconds. Unforuntately, these sort of cases seem to be more the exception than the rule as, thanks to widespread public mistrust against scammers, Chinese people have earned a reputation for being slow to help strangers in need.
