While it is still more than 10 weeks to opening day, tickets for Shanghai Disneyland are already selling out. Who exactly is snapping up all these tickets? Mischievous children it would seem!
A Shanghai father was rather shocked when he got a text message confirming an order of 20 tickets to Shanghai Disneyland, costing nearly 10,000 yuan, that he had not in fact made. At first, he thought it was a scam. But after a little investigation he learned the truth.
It turns out that his 7-year-old son had expressed his desire to go to Disneyland for its opening ceremonies. However, both of his parents were frequently busy on business trips and said they wouldn’t be able to take him. Taking matters into his own hands, the kid took his father’s smartphone, went online and purchased 20 tickets for himself and all the kids in his class, Ifeng News reports.
Shanghai Disneyland has a strict limit of 5 tickets per order, and each ticket must be attached to an ID card number. But apparently this rigid security system can be cracked in an afternoon by a 7-year-old adept at Baidu searching.
Instead of being mad, the boy’s father, surnamed Zheng, said that he was proud of his son for sharing, and even said he was planning on purchasing tickets for the parents of his son’s classmates, so they could all experience what is sure to be a magical day together.
After the news went viral online, many netizens expressed their desires to make a new friend. “Little tuhao, please be my friend!” one netizen wrote.
