Not even a month after dashcam video went viral on the Chinese internet, showing a toddler tumbling out of the back of a van and onto a busy highway — somehow, someway — it happened again. However, this time the kid wasn’t as lucky.
The new footage is of an intersection in Zhaotong city, Yunnan on March 24th, according to People’s Daily. It shows a child suddenly falling out of the back of a minivan right as the vehicle starts to accelerate across the crossroads. The driver behind the minivan isn’t able to stop in time and runs over the kid.
Fortunately, at least this kid’s guardians were more alert than the last. The driver immediately stops the vehicle and an elderly woman rushes out from the passenger side to check on the child, shouting at the driver to back up. They are then able to rescue the kid from underneath the car.
Strangely enough, there is no more record of this accident after the minivan drove away. Nothing has been reported to police. In fact, officers only learned about it when reviewing old footage.

Last month’s tumbling toddler in Jiangsu was lucky that the driver behind quickly stopped, and the passenger ran out to make sure the kid stayed safe. In case you missed it, watch that incredible video by clicking the image below:
