Just when you thought that it couldn’t get any worse for Chinese schoolkids, the heavens appear and try to take them away.
At around 4:25 p.m. yesterday afternoon at a local primary school in Guazhou county of Gansu Province, a cyclone materialized in the middle of the school’s sports field. As children scattered for safety, one unfortunate kid was lifted a good 15 feet off the ground.
When he made it back down to earth, he was immediately taken to the hospital. He’s fine, just some slight injuries to the head, it’s not like he fell from the 15th floor or something.
Check out the carnage below:
As we reported yesterday, Gansu has apparently angered the gods and thus has been experiencing some strange weather as of late, including giant walls of sand that consume counties for 10 minutes.
You may want to put those Gansu vacation plans on hold for now.
