Aren’t flight delays the absolute worst? Particularly for the unfortunate airline employees who are left to deal with the wrath of impatient and occasionally violent travelers.
Due to bad weather, a Capital Airlines flight out of Changsha was delayed on Sunday evening. Rather than curse the heavens, some passengers took out their frustration on workers.
According to NetEase, the travelers asked to speak with an airline representative. When their request was not granted, they decided to humiliate the woman working the desk. At around 8:30 p.m., onlookers captured video of one angry woman flinging her boxed lunch at the airline employee.
Later, a man is seen slapping the employee right in the face. He aggressively follows behind her as she tries to retreat, shouting: “I hit you, so what?” He then proceeds to smash up some items on the desk.
Netizens have expressed their utter disgust at the incident, asking that at the very least these two travelers be placed on the national blacklist, if not just thrown into prison.
Chinese airports are the worst in the world for flight delays (thanks, military), and Chinese travelers aren’t so great at dealing with them either, leading to chaos and madness from Kunming to Zhengzhou to Pudong.
