A mob boss in Shanxi has found himself right back in prison after he went a little overboard on his homecoming party last Thursday.
According to Sina News, on the day of 52-year-old Cheng Youze’s release, over 100 men were gathered in front of Jincheng Prison to welcome him with firecrackers to celebrate his freedom. A total of 20 Land Rover, 30 Mercedes and 6 Hummers were also waiting to take the entire entourage for a celebratory banquet meal at a five-star hotel.
The whole shebang was caught on camera and the video has since gone viral on social media. It shows Cheng, wearing shades, dressed in a white shirt and a white pair of pants, waving to his underlings in black shirts as he marches between them.
Netizens weren’t the only ones to notice Cheng’s dramatic entrance back into society, officials were also watching and shaking their heads. “The Public Security Bureau will comprehensively and deeply investigate the case. The rampant arrogance of criminals cannot be tolerated,” the local police said in a statement.
So, just three days after his triumphant release, Cheng was detained again on charges of “disturbing social order,” and thrown right back in the slammer. Nine of his associates were also arrested, according to China Daily.
Cheng must be getting pretty used to it there. He was also jailed for robbery in 1984 and gambling in 2009. After getting released, it never takes him too long to get back on his feet. We can’t wait to see what he has planned for his next homecoming.
