A series of photos starring handsome traffic cops from all across China have netizens considering committing minor traffic violations for a closer look.
The photos come from an initiative that China recently launched, urging its people to become more civilized citizens, particularly on the road. However, it seems that viewers are too busy ogling pics of hot traffic cops to care.
For instance, meet one officer from Weifang. Despite being busy preparing for the National Judicial Examination, he stresses that he never abandons his duties or his workout regimen.
Chen Xiaojun is a traffic cop from Shenzhen. He says it’s his duty to treat any accident with leniency. Of course, he also knows how to treat the ladies.
Because he’s married. Sorry ladies, he’s taken. As a father, he understands that his family is worried about his well-being, so once he gets off duty, he will video call his family.
As a leader of men, he once directed a four-member team to prevent a driver from escaping. Chasing the driver for 12km, they eventually arrested him.
These guys really oughta think about making a calendar. Driven in Wuhan:
Cool in Zhengzhou:
Laid back in Jinan:
Images of the dashing traffic cops have attracted not only hundreds of thousands of female admirers seeking to find out where these studs are on duty, but also dudes as well. Some have even advised the relevant authorities to hold an open day where traffic cops and citizens can “chill together.”
Regarding their rather surprising popularity, some traffic cops say that they will get embarrassed if fans start asking for a photo with them, but they are charged with serving the people. They would also like to remind citizens of the actually purpose of this campaign: to get people to obey traffic rules, NetEase reports.
Well, if we are being honest, some of these traffic cops are alright, but their attractiveness can’t compare to one officer in Chengdu who has proven that he can stop traffic with just his ruggedly handsome face:
But hey, China has more eye candy than just its men in uniform. In 2013, a street vendor was named China’s very own “ridiculously photogenic guy.” Apparently, he’s not only attractive, but also well-mannered. Even though chengguan chased him away seven to eight times a day, he still remained unfailingly friendly towards them.
However, don’t let their handsome faces fool you! Former Nanchang University president Zhou Wenbin, once was called “the most handsome university president,” before he was sent to prison for embezzlement and bribe taking. Handsome face or not, it won’t save you every time.
