Over the past weeks we’ve seen students studying in unconventional places, like a ledge on the 5th floor of a building. But now there appears to be somewhere far nicer to go hang out.
In the past few days images of a new bookstore in Hangzhou have gone viral. It has been described by some as the “most beautiful bookstore” and held in comparison to Shanghai’s most famous library, Zhong Shu Ge.
The design is a mix between vintage and modern, accompanied by a mirrored glass ceiling and creating a large spacial view, Tencent reports. The elegant and comfortable environments leads visitors to return daily.
While many netizens were impressed by the bookstore, others were more cynical.
“[I] Only go to the bookstore now for air conditioning,” wrote @分飞.
“This is where rich and pretentious people go, can the poor students come here?” wrote @渔夫.
We’re sure if this attentive Wuhan student asked nicely, he would be let in.
What do you think, is it worth all the fuss?
