A man, a dog and a bike. This is the story of a guy named Xiaoyu from Guilin who has cycled the world for the past year, along with his pooch, in order to support animal care and animal rights.
According to NetEase, Xiaoyu (and his dog) biked over 25,000 km through 23 countries in just one year. During his journey, he visited more than 100 animal rescue centers. He also somehow found time to write a book about his journey, all proceeds will go to organizations that help stray dogs find new homes.
Back in 2012, Xiaoyu took his adopted dog and started biking through Sichuan and Tibet, crossing the Qinghai-Tibet plateau and making it to Mt Everest and even Nepal.
His latest journey has stretched across countries in Asia, Europe and North America, before finally arriving back home in Guilin after one year of traveling.
Maybe he passed through Yulin on the way back.
