While Chinese drivers have been known to disregard the rules of the road before, some recent videos of motorcyclists pulled over by the police took quite an unexpected turn.
The first video shows a motorcyclist in Guizhou who got pulled over by police for not wearing a helmet while riding an overloaded bike (Gasp!). The man calmly got off his bike… only to take out an axe and start hacking away at his own bike. Strangely, officers just stood by watching, mesmerized by the man’s self-destructive fury.
Similarly in the second incident, which occured in Huizhou, officers asked a motorcyclist to stop for an inspection, but they quickly got into an argument. In a sudden rush of fury, the man also smashed his own bicycle. BUT! At least he was wearing a helmet. Safety first of course.
Looks like it’s time to offer free motorcycle riding classes for everyone. Motorbiking lesson 101: listen to police officers and don’t smash your bike.
