Shilin night market @ Jinjiang amusement park
Taipei’s largest night market – Shilin Night Market is now in Shanghai and is set up beside the Jinjiang Amusement park. This year, over 40 stalls are flown over from Taiwan and they’re selling all kinds of Taiwanese street food like fried chicken fillets, shaved ice and oyster omelettes priced between ¥10-25. This night market is ongoing until the end of October.

Scream @ Pulupulu Theme Game Hall
The original producers of Thai horror blockbusters has brought to life realistic and interactive movie sets for you horror movie fans! The Scream Shanghai exhibit has mirrored the three films Pee Mak, Countdown and Shutter’s haunted houses. After a good scream, you can pop over next door to Popper Carnival for some shopping and alfresco dining. This exhibit runs till the 4th of September and are closed on Mondays.

Storytelling by the Chinese Elderly @ The Creator Space
Beyond the Bund hosts a panel featuring three elderly Chinese citizens with topics ranging from the good ol’ Shanghai days, forbidden love and the obstacles they’ve been through. A translator will be present for Chinese to English translation.

Shanghai Book Fair
Today is the last day of the annual Shanghai Book Fair. This fair has attracted thousands of bookstores, media, book lovers and publishers nationally over the years. Authors and literary geniuses have been hosting forums and speeches around different venues in Shanghai and there are large book discounts too, so be sure to check it out today!

Tilling towards cleaner soil @ XNODE
Rapid industrialization has negatively affected the environment adversely and this forum organised by Green Initiatives will be discussing environmental sustainability and how we can work towards bettering the conditions our soils.
