There’s just something about a woman in uniform.
Overall, it was a pleasantly uneventful G20 summit for China. Other than a flight of stairs, it seems that the real star of the show has become a beautiful female bodyguard, spotted on duty near the car of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Pictures of the woman went viral on Chinese social media, leaving many netizens wondering, who is she?
Well, they didn’t have to wait long to find out. Investigative web users quickly identified her as 25-year-old Shu Xin from Guizhou province, who joined the PLA to serve her country.
Netizens dredged up old pics of Shu. It turns out that in 2013, she was named one of the “10 most charming female PLA soldiers.”
She is described as an outgoing and vivacious person who loves to sing and dance, but is also meticulous in her work. Even her very name — 舒心 — means “comfortable” or “happy” in Chinese.
She can also climb a rope.
Beautiful, friendly and patriotic? Could Shu be one of those sexy Chinese spies that British security agents warned us about? Hopefully, Renzi and staff avoided temptation.
