Today marks the last day of ”Local Impression”, a group exhibition that features Canadian artist Stéfanie Vallée, Chinese artists LV Zhe and Changlong’s artworks. All three artists expresses their global/ local view and their artistic impression of the main cities of China.

Art in the City @ K11 Art Space
Art In The City turns 3 years old and upgrades its festival formula to highlight even more new art from China, more projects and more venues. Participating artists includes Liu Bolin, Qiu Zhijie, Michael Wolf and more.The main exhibition at CHI K11 art museum is entitled ”TAKE ME OUT”, showcasing the crossovers between technology, art and design that challenges our understanding of the spaces within which we view art.

Cowspiracy screening @ Haworth Furniture
Green Initiatives’ 66th film screening, Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking environmental documentary that uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it. This shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.The film comes with Chinese subtitles and light snacks and refreshments will be provided to all attendees. Film screening will be followed by a short discussion.

Yang Jing Bang @ Tomatito
The first Yang Jing Bang event in September is with Chef Julio at Tomatito. He’ll be serving a new a la carte tapas including the grilled skirt steak, drunken shrimp, octopus terrine, clams, fried potato wedges tossed in Sichuan recipe and crispy fried baby squid. In case you don’t know what Yang Jing Bang is about, it’s a series of food events that crosses between foreign and Chinese cultures with a simple concept of serving good food with good ingredients.

The Great Gatsby @ The Pearl
The Pearl Movie Night will present the romantic drama film “The Great Gatsby”. Free entry and the film will be in English with Chinese subtitles. They’ll be running a burger deal all night including the bacon cheese beef burger, french fries and one beer for ¥78.
