Donghi Music Festival @ Zhoushan Islands
The Donghai (East Sea) Music Festival – or Donghi as they’re calling it – returns for another year, with 80 rock, folk and electronic artists lined up, performing over four stages on a beach at Zhujiajian on the Zhoushan Islands. Names on the bill include Xiao He, Streets Kill Strange Animals, Pu Shu, Escape Plan (Perdel), Muma and One-Fang plus Shanghai-based DJs Howell, Faded Ghost and MIsloop. This is a three day festival so music fans, make sure you don’t miss this one.

Kenny G @ The Shanghai Oriental Art Centre
American saxophonist, Kenny G, is the biggest-selling instrumental musician of the modern era and one of the best-selling artists of all time, with global sales totalling more than 75 million records. He will be performing live at Shanghai Oriental Art Centre for one night only starting from 7.30pm. Ticket prices range from ¥180 to ¥980 pre-sale.

PHOTOFAIRS @ Shanghai Exhibition Centre
Now in Shanghai from Friday till Sunday for their third edition, PHOTOFAIRS is dedicated to showcase fine art photography and image from leading international galleries and artists all over the world. Slowmance @ Elevator
The Slowmance crew is getting geared up for the launch of their new collaborative series at Elevator. Kicking things off this Friday, They are flying in Australian-via-Berlin enigma Tornado Wallace (Beats in Space). Resident DJs Allan Marshalll, Miki Discosnot and Raz will also be spinning on set. Vertical fun run fundraiser @ Jing An Shangri-La
Jing An Shangri-La, West Shanghai, is hosting its second annual Climb for Hope event to promote healthy living and raise funding for Shanghai Children’s Medical Centre. You’ll be climbing 1,625 steps over 60 floors to reach the highest point of the Jing An Shangri-La hotel building. Runners will meet at the Jing An Kerry Centre Piazza, between Calypso and Cafe Liang. All proceeds will be 100% donated to assist in treating underprivileged children. Register here.

Inci Eviner @ Pearl Lam Galleries
Pearl Lam Galleries is delighted to present Looping on Thin Ice, the first solo exhibition by Turkish artist Inci Eviner in China. Featuring Eviner’s videos, drawings, collages on paper, and paintings, the exhibit centres on her video installations which are a result of a collaborative production process with her works on paper that will be displayed interactively in the exhibition space. “ Looping on Thin Ice” refers to the circulation of visual languages that reference one another, speak to one another, and are informed by the Eviner’s concern for the social conditions in her country.
