In a jarring reminder that deadly bus accidents don’t just happen in China, one Chinese tourist was killed and 11 more were injured in a bus crash near California’s Yosemite National Park.
The tour bus accident occurred at around 5:35 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. As the group was returning to their hotel in Fresno, the bus hit a tree and rolled down an embankment, the AP reports. 22 people were on board, mostly Chinese teens, along with their adult chaperones. Four were seriously injured in the crash, and one of those injured later died.
Last Thursday, a truck and a school bus collided at an intersection in central China, horrifying the country, and leaving two children dead and 11 more injured. Traffic lights have now been installed at the intersection.
Then, on Saturday evening, 12 people were killed when a truck swerved into a bus after trying to avoid a horse that darted onto the road in Inner Mongolia.
Might want to take the TEB this week.
