WATCH: The Daily Show goes to Chinatown, returns with brutal takedown of racist Fox News segment

Earlier this week, Fox News aired a shockingly racist segment in which one correspondent visited New York’s Chinatown to ask people living there about the election and, more importantly, to make an impressive amount of antiquated and offensive jokes at their expense. Comedy’s Central’s “The Daily Show” has since responded by going to Chinatown to actually speak with voters there and to tell Jesse Watters to go fuck himself.
Watters is the star of “Watters’ World” a regular video segment on “The O’Reilly Factor,” in which the correspondent goes out into the world to harass unsuspecting people into doing some man-on-the-street style interviews. This time, his target was Chinatown, where he focused on how incredibly funny it is that some Chinese Americans speak English with an accent. At one point, he totally owns one elderly woman who can’t understand his question. The segment offended the sensibilities of other reporters on Twitter, the Asian American community and even New York City mayor Bill de Blasio.
It also seems to have really pissed off Daily Show correspondent Ronny Chieng, who spent a good portion of Thursday night hurling creative insults Watters way: “Hey, douchebag, why do you look like a guy who carries around a pack of roofies, just in case. Is it hard to fit Bill O’Reilly’s entire scrotum in your mouth?”
With that done, Chieng then headed down to Chinatown to actually talk (in Mandarin, Cantonese and English) to some Asian American voters about their views on the election.
Watch below:

After non-apologizing for the segment on October 5th, Jesse Watters’ Twitter account has fallen silent.
Meanwhile, more and more Asian Americans are leaving the Republican Party. A recent National Asian American survey found that 59% of Asian Americans are leaning toward voting for Hillary Clinton in November, compared to just 16% leaning toward Donald Trump.
For more on why this might be happening, check out Jiayang Fan’s article in the New Yorker about Fox News’ offensive segment.
