Moulin Rouge @ The Pearl

China International Fashion Fair @ National Convention and Convention Center
The second edition of the China International Fashion Fair, CHIC Shanghai will be held from October 11th to 13th at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre. This platform enables fashion brands to present their new collections and the Chinese trade will have a better overview on exciting new looks from around the world. Vendors from kids’ wear, fashion accessories, fashion services to leather wear will be present. The event runs from 10am to 6pm.

Lost Opportunities @ Art Labor

For Art Labor’s fall art season opening exhibition, you will have the chance to see some of the new works of your favorite artists from previous shows and their classic artworks. A second chance to view works you may have missed, exceptional work by Hajime Sorayama, acquired from the Nanzuka Gallery in Tokyo, the famed designer of the Sony Robot ”Pet”, Aibo. Other key pieces on display is of Canadian über author and artist Douglas Coupland, and a massive painting never shown before in China by Lu Xinjian. A brand new ink painting on silk by Ying Yefu is also featured and a classic neo-Scandinavian piece by Danish artist Per Adolfsen.

Beyond the Bund @ Naked Hub
Get ready to be inspired to act by new ideas! Beyond The Bund is a platform in Shanghai that puts up a diverse range of activities that are embedded within the Chinese culture and one that the seniors are keen to share. This month, the Chinese seniors invited will be talking about their tales of hardship, discover, tears and joy from the 50’s & 60’s at Naked Hub. A translator will be present and the event starts from 7pm. Tickets are ¥150 at the door, including drinks and snacks.

Michael Wolf @ M97 Project Space
Informal Solutions refers to coping mechanisms devised by the residents of Hong Kong to deal with high-density living. German photographer Michael Wolf exhibits a range of multimedia works at M97 project space that he has collected in back alleys in HongKong since 1994. Admission is Free.

On the Stage of Life @ M97 gallery
From today until November 12th, M97 Gallery hosts an exhibition of a collection of vintage photographs from the fifties and 60s by renowned award-winning photographer Fan Ho. He has won 280 awards from international exhibitions and competitions worldwide since 1956 and is also a celebrated film directorand actor. Admission is free.
