Lip sync battle @ The Pearl
Lights, camera, lip sync. Get ready to fake sing for your life and unleash your inner superstar. Eight competitors will pair up to do battle using lip sync as their weapon of choice to knock out their competition. There are three judges on stage and the audience will also be the judge to decide who performed best. pPre-sale tickets are ¥80 and ¥100 at the door. Booths are available for booking (3-4 people) from a minimum spend of ¥800 and VIP Boxes from ¥2000. Doors open at 5pm with a happy hour deal running until 7pm. Show starts at 9pm.

Ladyfest Shanghai presents The Dating Monologues @ Daliah
On 11/11, China’s National Singles’ Day, Ladyfest Shanghai presents the 2nd annual “The Dating Monologues.” Think “Vagina Monologues,” but the raw stories of people dating in Shanghai will be revealed and shared. The purpose of this even it to produce an open platform to discuss dating in Shanghai. It will be fun, funny, and educational with games, raffles and more. The show event starts at 7pm and ends at 10.30pm.

Storytelling by the Local Elderly @ naked Hub

Shanghai Comedy Club Presents Tom Rhodes @ Ruijin Cajun
International touring comedian, original voice of Comedy Central, host of the popular podcast Tom Rhodes Radio and comedian’s comedian Tom Rhodes returns to Shanghai. His observations gathered from traveling the world many times over have won over audiences everywhere including Shanghai, where he has previously sold out a number of shows in the past. See Tom performing alongside some of Shanghai’s best comics at one of Shanghai Comedy Club’s 2 locations on November 11 and 12. Presale tickets are ¥170 and ¥200 at the door.

Electric Zoo @ Expo Park
New York’s premiere electronic music festival is coming to China, and they’re debuting their kick-off event at the Expo Park from 1.30pm-9.30pm. They will bring some highlights from New York’s Electric Zoo: Wild Island, such as the giant octopus stage, animal themed costume performers, and much more. Swedish DJ Dada Life will be headlining alongside with Sander Van Doorn, Hucci, Mako, Oshi, Codeko, Cavia and Fader One. Regular pre-sale tickets are ¥399; Limited Animal Edition (Flamingo / Mammoth / Cobra / Jaguar) are ¥499 which includes a customized survival kit, special entry access, one beer and its ¥499 at the door.

Chi Fan For Charity 2016
Chi Fan For Charity takes the standard concept of a large gala dinner and throws it out the window! Taking place at fifty renowned restaurants simultaneously across the city on November 12th, each restaurant has donated a table of 10 each, providing a minimum ¥500 per person in value meal. All proceeds are 100% donated to this year’s charity beneficiaries Educating Girls of Rural China and Shanghai Young Bakers. 500 guests will be eating for a good cause and uniting at one afterparty at The Place, boasting free flow of everything, music, silent auction and raffles. You can still join in on the fun with the few remaining tables left.

ARTO21 Exhibit @ Shanghai Exhibition Center Nov 12 & 13th

Sushi-making @ Hatsune
Ever wondered how to make Sushi? Fret no more. Hatsune hosts a sushi-making class from 12pm – 2pm hosted by chef and Hatsune owner Alan wong himself. This course examines the fundamentals of sushi making and gives participants Hatsune’s secret recipes so that you can learn how to make sushi at home. Learn all about the different types of sushi, fish, rice and vegetable ingredients, and then it’s your turn to try it for yourself, preparing three different types of sushi rolls.

Children Up-cycle Fashion Show @ Century Park
To be held in and around artist Liu Yi’s “Seed Planet,” (installed in Century Park’s Folk Village from Sept 4 to Nov 13) the Shanghai Project Children’s Program will relate to the inaugural theme, “Envision 2116” through a series of workshops. These programs will provide a rich experience in art, music, performance, field activities and nature that aim to inspire children’s imagination about life in the 22nd century. Some of Shanghai’s greatest pro and amateur chefs will be descending on the courtyard at 800 Show for a festival of bacon sampling the likes of which Shanghai has never seen before. A ticket entitles you to samples from all vendors from the multitudes of chefs cooking. There’ll be DJs, lucky draws and lots of bacon. The event goes from 1pm to 5pm, pre-sale tickets are ¥100 and ¥150 at the door.

Charity Games @ Jiaotong University
This charity game will support the Sinakekele children’s home in South Africa, a transition home for abandoned babies and orphans. The first 100 participants will receive a rope bag, snack pack, mini juice, honey, coconut water and a pre-workout. You’ll be working out from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and you can start registering at 1pm. Feel free to join on the day for ¥70.
