8 Hands Dinner @ Unico
The distinguished Unico is throwing an 8 hands dinner, meaning four fabulous chefs are coming together to create a one-of-a-kind 8 course menu for the night. The dishes are inspired by “very Latin” flavors. The chefs include Koen Vessies from El Willy, Juan Campos from RAW Eatery and Grill, Pol Garcia from El Patio, and Unico’s very own Franck Salati.

Journey to the West @ Minsheng M21 museum
Notable Shanghainese artist Gu Wenda takes over Minsheng Museum’s Pudong from Nov 10. The exhibition includes around 300 pieces from the 1980s including experimental ink and wash paintings for which he’s best known for. The artist also has an outdoor installation called ”Red Light in Heaven” where the exterior of Minsheng M21 museum entirely in red lanterns.

Acrobatic show @ Shanghai Circus World
The ERA acrobatic show has been around for years and for good reason. The dazzling show is a must see that tests the limits of human balance and artistry. The program includes hoop diving, bowl balancing, fire meteors, and spinning plates.

Blue Man Group World Tour @ Shanghai Cultural Square
Ongoing from November 16th to December 4th, the Blue Man Group lands in Shanghai. A dynamic combination of music, comedy and technology, the show appeals to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds. It is continually refreshed with new music, new stories, new instruments and new technology.

ACT Shanghai International Theatre Festival @ Dramatic Arts Center
Asian Contemporary Theatre Shanghai International Theatre Festival, hosted by Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre (SDAC), is an annual event introducing international contemporary performing arts works and a platform for artists and audience to meet through theatre. Started in 2005, ACT now celebrates their 12th birthday and have expanded its reach beyond, though maintaining a focus on Asia artists and their works. Check out their website here. Andy Warhol @ YUZ Museum
Yuz Museum is proud to organize for the first time in Asia, the Chinese premiere of Shadows by Andy Warhol: “a monument to impermanence” (Holland Cotter, New-York Times). Shadows is valued as the most mysterious work by Andy Warhol, the most influential artist of the 20th century, “the King of Pop”, that shows the unknown side of the artist. The exhibition is presented in collaboration with the globally acclaimed Dia Art Foundation, New York. It opens at Yuz Museum, Shanghai on Saturday, 29th October and lasts until December the 18th.

Emerging Curators Project 2016 @ Power Station of Art
The Emerging Curators Project allows Chinese curators to select three curatorial proposals to set up their exhibitions. This project has sought the most vibrant, edgiest, and fascinating pieces of art. Some exhibitions on display include The Amoy Meat Factory by Axis Art Project.
