The Shanghai Tower continues to rack up the accolades, being awarded not one, not two, but three Guinness World Records.
The 632-meter-tall skyscraper is the world’s second tallest building and features an elegant spiral design. But what really impressed Guinness was the Mitsubishi Electric-designed elevator, which can take passengers up to the 119th floor in a mere 55 seconds, zooming upward at 20.5 meters per second.
Guinness has recognized the Shanghai Tower for having the world’s fastest elevator, tallest elevator in a building and the fastest double-deck elevator. Huzzah!
Sure beats taking the stairs anyway.
