Xintiandi Christmas Fair
The Xintiandi Christmas Fair is back again this year from December 17th until the 25th 12pm – 8pm on Madang Road and Zizhong Road. There will be 70+ vendors and 5 Christmas huts selling all sorts of amazing gems, handcrafted jewellery, deliciously indulgent food, drinks and more. The Nutcracker @ Shanghai Grand Theatre

The story of the Nutcracker is being retold by the Shanghai Ballet in collaboration with British choreographer Derek Deane. Deane’s experience includes being the artistic director of the English National Ballet and creating work for world renowned theaters. The show starts at 7.15pm and tickets are from ¥80.

Immersive Magic Show in the Sky @ Shanghai World Financial Centre
Prominent Taiwanese magician, Kau- Lun Hu, is performing a magic show at the Shanghai World Financial Centre Observatory. This show will have an enchanting, dreamlike quality to it. Brian Offenther, also known as DJ BO, will also be at the event. Tickets start from ￥988.

Drew Fralick @ Kungfu Komedy
Comedian, Drew Fralick, comes to Kungfu Komedy for a night of laughs and stand up. In 2015, he won the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. He’s known for his high energy and outrageous performance.

Snoopy Run @ Binjiang Forest Park
The Snoopy Run is a 5km run perfect for families, friends, and even dogs. An event for all ages, you can spend your Christmas Eve running in Binjiang Forest Park. The event starts at 3.30pm and entry is ¥168 per person.

Sleep No More @ The Mckinnon Hotel
Co-produced by Punchdrunk International and SMG Live, Sleep No More enacts Shakespeare’s well known tragedy, Macbeth, through a “darkly cinematic lens.” Sleep No More has been performed in London, Boston, New York, and now comes to Shanghai.

NT Live No Man’s Land @ Shanghai Drama Art Centre
Following their hit run on Broadway, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart return to the West End stage in Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, broadcast live to cinemas from Wyndham’s Theatre, London. Also starring Owen Teale and Damien Molony, don’t miss this revival of Pinter’s comic classic. The broadcast will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with the cast and director Sean Mathias.

Felix Gonzalez-Torres @ Rockbund Art Museum
The Rockbund Art Museum present the first solo exhibition of the influential international artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres (1957-1996) in Greater China. Until December 25th, RAM hosts a comprehensive exhibition of work by the late American artist renowned for his unconventional methodology and poignant sensitivity. The unique nature of his work takes this exhibition beyond a retrospective; it constitutes a genuine renewal of his art.
