An early Christmas gift for the EDM fans – MYST nightclub is delighted to welcome Dutch duo Sick Individuals to join them on December 23 to kick off this festive season. Known for electrifying clubs and festivals around the globe with their progressive house and electro anthems.

The Nutcracker @ Shanghai Grand Theatre
The story of the Nutcracker is being retold by the Shanghai Ballet in collaboration with British choreographer Derek Deane. Deane’s experience includes being the artistic director of the English National Ballet and creating work for world renowned theatres. The show starts at 7.15pm and tickets are from ¥80.

Bloodied and Broken Metal Night @ Inferno
Downtempo death-core band from Beijing Stabbing makes their Shanghai debut at Inferno. “Our music goes through your ears, makes you feel what it means to break your body and soul down”. It is ¥80 at the door and the event starts at 9.30pm.

Immersive Magic Show in the Sky @ Shanghai World Financial Centre
Taiwanese magician Kau- Lun Hu is performing a magic show at the Shanghai World Financial Center Observatory (423m high!). Expect to be wowed by the surrealism and Brian Offenther (a.k.a DJ BO) will also be at the event.

Drew Fralick @ Kungfu Komedy
Comedian, Drew Fralick, comes to Kungfu Komedy for a night of laughs and stand up. In 2015, he won the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. He’s known for his high energy and outrageous performance.

Xintiandi Christmas Fair
The Xintiandi Christmas Fair is back again this year from December 17th until the 25th 12pm – 8pm on Madang Road and Zizhong Road. There will be 70+ vendors and 5 Christmas huts selling all sorts of amazing gems, handcrafted jewellery, deliciously indulgent food, drinks and more. An evening of Raucous Mayhem @ Yuyintang

Formed in 2013 Shanghai, they inherited from the sixties beat scene of Mods culture, and the theory of manipulating the spring reverb system with Fender Jaguar guitar. The show starts at 9pm and tickets are ¥40.

Kitsuné, a electronic music record label and fashion brand from Paris, heading down to Le Baron Shanghai. Known for its eclectic and trendy style. Now they’re joining forces with soul and R&B artist Pat Lok. The party starts at 9pm, don’t miss out!

Sleep No More @ The Mckinnon Hotel
Co-produced by Punchdrunk International and SMG Live, Sleep No More enacts Shakespeare’s well known tragedy, Macbeth, through a “darkly cinematic lens.” Sleep No More has been performed in London, Boston, New York, and now comes to Shanghai.
