A jazz trio of Alec Haavik on sax, Danny Zeker on bass, and Nick McBride on the drums will be performing at the Fennel Lounge. As a chill night, they will be playing both their own original music and other compositions.

“The Circular Ruins” Wen Wu Exhibit @ Leo Gallery
In Wen Wu’s solo exhibition, Wu “confronts the historical context and the self-awareness of contemporary painting.” Wu’s work reflects neo-impressionism and leaves a powerful impression. His methods include using graphic colors, alteration, and overlapping.

Kristin Ng-Yang Solo exhibit @ Noeli Exhibition
Chinese artist Kristin Ng-Yang presents her latest watercolor, video, photography, drawing and oil painting, which are inspired from a Chinese song in which a bird falls in love with a fish. The suspended fish/birds painted on plexiglass alluding to the ephemeral encounter and the impossibility in life.

Mozart! The Musical @ Shanghai Culture Square
As a tribute to the 260th anniversary of Mozart’s birth, this musical chronicles the struggles and success in Mozart’s life. The APA praises the play by explaining that “Oedo Kuipers scintillates as Mozart.” Having been preformed all around the world and to over 1.9 million people, this Austrian play finally comes to Shanghai.
