Less than 3 months after Taian Table won a Michelin star and got shut down for operating without a license, the brainchild of Stefan Stiller, probably one of Shanghai’s most celebrated western chefs, has reopened.
Shanghaiist was present at their launch party, and what can we say, we were more than impressed. Like their original location on Taian Road, the new restaurant features a small dining space with an open kitchen and a single, seasonal tasting menu. There’s also a bar for after-dinner drinks on the second level.
First-time visitors may find the new location frustratingly difficult to get to, but rest assured, you will be duly rewarded for it.
