Shanghai Soup @ Naked Hub XKL
Fund your Shanghai community project with support from your neighbours – anything from creating an urban garden to funding a class field trip, to starting a new business. Attendees pay ¥50 for soup and vote on which project they think benefits the community the most. The winner goes home with all of the money at the door to carry out their project. At the dinner, Shanghai residents and supporters connect, share ideas and community resources.

David Bowie @ The Pearl
To commemorate the first year Anniversary of David Bowie’s passing, the Pearl will be screening two majors documentaries about David Bowie‘s life and career. The first film screening at 7.30pm ‘Five Years’ offers a unique opportunity to explore Bowie’s work and creative vision and shows Bowie not just as the rockstar chameleon, but also as an artist drawing on rich and diverse cultural influences. The 2nd film screening at 8.30-10pm is an in-depth exploration of pivotal moments in his final five years, when he not only began producing music again, but returned to the core and defining themes of his career. The rest of the night will be screening video clips of David Bowie.

Eight Emerging Artists @ OCAT Shanghai
The eight participating artists are Chen Zhe, Hu Xiangqian, Li Liao, Lin Ke, Lu Pingyuan, Nabuqi, Shen Xin and Yu Ji who work in video, photography, sculpture and performance. The isolation or proximity between artists’ works are a major factor in this exhibition held at OCAT Shanghai, ongoing until February 2nd 2017.
