With her vision blurred by the airpocalypse outside, one young girl on her way to school accidentally exited the bus at the wrong stop, leaving her completely lost in the sea of smog.
Unable to make out any landmarks to guide her, the girl asked a police officer on the roadside for help. He promptly called her a cop car which escorted her through the haze and straight to school.
Video of the unusual incident has recently become popular on the Chinese internet. Presumably, it was filmed last week when a heavy layer of smog covered much of northern and central China.
Some online have questioned the authenticity of the footage; however, many have shrugged off concerns reasoning that if it really is simply a high-quality ad, then at least it’s well-intentioned. Others have wondered why the girl was being forced to go to school in the first place.

This isn’t the first time that someone has lost their way in China’s PM2.5. Back in 2015, one Anhui woman went out to visit relatives one smoggy December morning, and got lost for the whole day.
