Celebrated winner of the International Malko Competition in Copenhagen 2015, Tung-Chieh Chuang, the 34-year-pld Taiwanese conductor stood out amongst a large field of contestants and won this prestigious award. Tung-Chieh will be conducting at the Shanghai Symphony Hall from 8pm tonight.

Russian National Ballet performs The Nutcracker @ Shanghai Oriental Art Centre
The two-act ballet ‘The Nucracker’ originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will be performed by the Russian National Ballet Theatre. The Russian National Ballet aims to preserve the creative heritage of their tradition and their repertoire includes classical performances from Swan Lake to the Sleeping Beauty, and also modern sets to the music of Mozart and more.
